The brief was to develop a tired looking bungalow into a new one-and-a-half storey home for our clients in East Runton. The design seeks to use traditional Norfolk materials in a contemporary manner, maximising the light and space internally. The front elevation has been stepped in a way to reduce the visual mass against the street view. Landscaped gardens occupy the front, leading you through onto the raised patio where you are met by a glazed entrance hall to access the property.

Example of one of the initial hand sketches produced and presented to the client to help them visualise the form and style of building which is being proposed during an early design meeting. Local architectural styling was taken into account whilst adding contemporary elements to the design. Hand sketches such as the above can also assist when holding discussions with North Norfolk District Council during any planning or pre-application.
